I somewhere mentioned a copier could play it, but I think it needs a pass through connector.

I think the rom chip is behind the fx chip. So if there is a pass through connector for some copiers, I'm thinking they have an fx chip in it. I've been wanting to try to make one of these things, but you can't tell which pins are which in the starfox cart. The fx1 chip would only allow you to play starfoxes anyways (there's the competition edition and a beat of 2, the header says it uses fx1.)

Now there is fx2, which has better games like yoshi's island and stunt race fx. And then there's the argonaut (I'd really love to play dirt racer on a snes, it doesn't run in zsnes, and slowly in snes9x.)

I'm hoping the rom chip (or copier) would pass along the data through the special chip, and just call upon the chip for certain calculations or whatever it does. Maybe I can rip apart a stunt race fx D:

Yeah, I already tought about this, but it is too complex for me. Reek told me that he have one of these adapter for one of his copier if I remember well. But there is none available right now for the DX2, and like you writed, you can't really know which pins go where on Starfox because the chip are siliconed to the board, which suck really bad(nt) Fat_Mike 12:43:51 05/22/01 (1) response
