This message is a reply to Yeah, I already tought about this, but it is too complex for me. Reek told me that he have one of these adapter for one of his copier if I remember well. But there is none available right now for the DX2, and like you writed, you can't really know which pins go where on Starfox because the chip are siliconed to the board, which suck really bad(nt) posted from Fat_Mike posted at May 22, 2001 at 12:43:51
I am presuming that this jump wire is from the SWC extender to the SNES (pin 1). You could make a generic pass-thru connector for the SNES, which would just map out all the pins to an extender. Then you could make special chip carts, FX1, FX2, etc. The FX1, I believe, is just a math coprocessor so it does not use the address and data lines for the rom. I believe to access the math coprocessor it uses the extended edge connectors from the main rom cart. I am not sure how the DSP, SDD-1, etc. carts work. Does anyone know if those carts have extended edge connectors? I wonder if you could make a full mod right from the DX2?
