This message is a reply to Rom header hacking basics? (The Dumper) posted from T.Reid posted at May 21, 2001 at 13:30:17
After searching the web, I found some docs on the different headers...I changed my Tetris 3 to wildcard/magicom format, and changed the header to:

"8000 0800 000 000 aabb 0400" I used '08h' for byte 2 beause 00001000b=08h. But it still dosen't work. I use inSNESt to find the SRAM/NTSC/slow rom fixes, and it either crashes or dosen't find any. I use SnesTool to do the same, and it finds a few, but I still only get a "NO COPY" screen.

> What address does the header tell the copier the size of the SRAM?

> What are the hex values used for 32k, 64k, 128k, etc.?

> Some SNES games check the size of available SRAM. If the actual SRAM in the copier (ie 256k) is greater than what the game is expecting (ie 32k) it'll detect the copier. This header hacking will get around this issue?
