reading v64 cdrs

Hey can anyone hazard a guess as to why I can read normal cds with my V64 but I created a CD-R using a TDK-made CD-R and it won't read it. Other drives read it. I created it with Adaptec easy CD 4 and the drive is a 4x mitsumi I believe. THanks!
