Ok, C4 and SDD-1 are compression chips. When we will know the decompression algorithm of those chip (C4 is already know), someone could create a uncompressed image of the game and then we would be able to run it on our backup unit since it would be like a normal game. But since Star Ocean is 64Mbits, we would have a problem since the uncompressed image would be a little bigger than 64Mbits... FFE told me that the maximum RAM size of the DX2 was 66Mbits, so, perhaps this extra 2Mbit would be enough to store the uncompressed ROM... Anyway, this is just what I think might be possible, I don't have the knowledge to do that myself but there is many people on the net who would be able to do it if that would be possible.
