Hmmm... I have a V64 myself, never seen that kind of problem... it definately couldn't hurt to upgrade the bios, but if you did it you'd have to do it via pc link cable, as you wouldn't be able to use your non-working play button to make it load the bios update from a cd.

Now whether upgrading the bios will solve your problem, I'm leaning toward no, but like I say, couldn't hurt :) I suppose you could take it apart some and check where the buttons are and make sure nothing looks really wrong with them... But otherwise, I really don't know what to tell ya... The unit itself is in my experience well built, I used to carry mine around in a duffel bag to various friends houses, and it even survived getting thrown all over the car when I hydroplaned off the freeway at 55mph and totaled my car. :) Still works great to this day hehe...

    • Did you tried cleaning the button contacts? I repaid my old controlers like this, it could be your problem. If it's not, check where the trace go to see if everything is ok(nt) Fat_Mike 01:47:22 08/16/00 (0) responses
