you can use bootchip emulation on most of the protected IC games (anything other then 6101,6102,7102 IC)
but for the savechips you usually need a good bootcard

like:
Star Wars episode 1 racer for 16k EPPROM games

Starcraft or Command and Conquerer for FlashRam games

and a simple card like Mario or a DX256 for the 4k EPPROM games

and a simple card like mario party or the DS1 for the SRAM games
