Could it be the SNES??
Because those made after some point in 1995 had an different board.
The PPU 1&2 chip are replaced by 1 chip. This was to prevent people making it 50/60Hz.
I have the same problems as you, my SNES is from 1995. Maybe the SWC 'doesn''t work propperly with it.
Tommorow I'm gonna rent an SNES made before 1995. Maybe the problems will go away.
