They might be perfect for you. They are 2Mx8 or 1Mx16 selectable. Made by ST Microelectronics, part # M27C160-100F1.
You can get them from Jameco and a couple of other suppliers, .

ST also has a M27C322 that comes in a 2Mx16 PDIP but those are harder to find. It looks like Mouser may have some of those in stock now, .
