They might be perfect for you. They are 2Mx8 or 1Mx16 selectable. Made by ST Microelectronics, part # M27C160-100F1.
You can get them from Jameco and a couple of other suppliers, http://www.jameco.com/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/ExecMacro/Jameco/searchResult.d2w/report?sort=&search=156283 .

ST also has a M27C322 that comes in a 2Mx16 PDIP but those are harder to find. It looks like Mouser may have some of those in stock now, http://www.mouser.com/products/detail.cfm?mpart=511-M27C322-10F&CustRef=&source=search&CFID=12047124&CFTOKEN=97231936 .
