Does anyone know how to fix my problem with this Dragonball Z game?

Anyways, when I play Dragonball Z: Super Boutuden 3 on my SWCDX2, when I get into a batte, the computer takes control of both characters. I know it's not a bad rip, cause it works fine on ZSNES. Could this be a form of copy protection, maybe? And whether it is or isn't, does anyone know how to fix this problem?
