How about using a FLASH ROM multicard?

Being a really amateur of electronics and all that stuff I'm just wondering:

Is it technically possible to place a huge FLASH ROM into a cartridge and then load it with at least 128 (...) games and then run each of them?

Like something I saw on the NES.

(aim: no mechanics in the unit)

Rather silly suggestion, I know...
