Mega Drive DIY Copier

For those of you who are still interested in this kind of stuff :) I've yesterday finished modifying my copier cart to work with the SNES as well as the Mega Drive. So far I've tested Thunderforce 4, Musha Aleste and Sonic & Knuckles which all work smoothly now.
However, I'm still in need of some info about how the battery RAM is accessed by the Mega Drive. I'd really appreciate it if someone could point me to some useful document about that.

The next thing I'll do is to write a manual and draw the schematics and release them.
