The 7/8/9 on the end is the speed rating of the chips and isn't a super critical piece of information.
I think what D^A^V wanted to confirm was that you had KM44C4000's vs KM44C4100's. If you are sure it's KM44C4000's that means the GD will accept drams with either 2k or 4k refresh since the KM44C4000 is a 4K refresh part and the other part I have in mine is a 2K refresh. It's a pretty important piece of information since 2K parts are almost impossible to find these days. If you are sure it was a KM44C4000 part that's all we need to know. If you're not sure it would really help if you could check it again.
