New Horizon's aka Uncharted Waters 2 ..game wont save :(

It saves in the emulator but with the swc it wont save in the game itself if i save and then try to load it says there are no saved games.. I tried another game...that uses 256k sram and that saves no problem so is there a fix for this game?
