When i had the old model swc like yours some games wouldnt work without a cart and i dont mean dsp/or other special chip game I mean that some games wouldnt run without some type of cartridge in the swc.. I think the swcdx and up fix this problem.. I had those units when they first came out and going on memory. I have recently become reinterested in the snes and trying to get them again ... to bad i sold em.. Back then tho they were 450.00 not as cheap as they are now.. :)
