SWC DX2 PAL/NTSC question...

I'm thinking about buying a US SNES so that I can see the ending and menus in FF6, and to play Super Mario RPG(cart) among other things.
Now, I only got a PAL Super Wildcard DX2 so will I need to buy a new Wildcard or is there some kind of mod that can be made on my PAL unit? Or are they compatible all the same?
