couple of things about the swdx2 - txt -

I had no problems with ChronoTrigger, but Seiken Densetsu 3 would give me a black screen. I found a second copy and it worked just fine. I assume my first copy was corrupt.

I decided to try Castlevania 4 PAL, and I get "this game is not designed to work on your system" blah. I tried the The Ultimate SNES Utility v1.0
and Snes-Tool Version 1.2, both programs could not find any PAL protection. I decided to try a USA verison of Castlevania (5 Dracula X) and it works, however I noticed some graphic corruption when you hit those candles with your whip to get at those extra items (health, money, etc)

Has anyone heard of Castlevania 5 not working with the SWDX2?

  • tried removing the NTSC protection, no luck, and the checksum is fine - any other ideas? -nt- swdx2 user 07:35:43 07/01/01 (0) responses
