Super UFO is OK. It only comes with 32Mb of RAM and only loads from floppy.

There is only one important difference between a Japanese SNES and a US SNES and that is that the cartridge slot is different. I had a Super UFO working fine on a US SNES. It may be that you have to pop out the tabs in the cart slot (which I have done). If you pop out the tabs so that you can fit a Japanese cart into your US SNES the Super UFO should work fine in it.

Remember, as with most backup units you need to use an external power supply or you'll have all kinds of flaky problems. Caveat User.
