Actually, the nomad cartidge slot is shallow compared to a full size Sega Genesis. Any copier that fit into a standard Genesis will actually protrude out about a 1/4 inch farther in the Nomad. Some copiers do work but, like you implied, it totally defeats the purpose of a portable game console with a bulky copier sticking out the top.
