I actually tried this once. First, the PBC doesn't fit, unless you open it up. Then even if you just plug the guts into the MGH, still nothing happens. If I remember, it didn't even go to the menu at all.

I got similar results on my Smart Bros, so the PBC probably can't be used to get SMS roms.
