Getting Lufia 2 To Work...

I am using a Super Wild Card DX 2 and haven't gotten this game to work. When I load the rom unedited it just loops the company logo and doesn't even get into an option menu or anything. When I use killem to remove SlowRoms the game will load up and be normal at first. But when you're walking around on the world map the game will make a sound like your going into battle then it will loop some weird effects permanently. Has anyone got this game working on a backup unit?
