I saw a thread on another board about this, I don't think game genie can do it.

This message is a reply to Cracking PAL protection with a Game Genie posted from Mark posted at March 15, 2001 at 23:00:53
A person had the cart of terranigma, and a game genie, and it wouldn't play on his ntsc snes (I forget but I'm assuming he disabled the lockout chip.)

Someone posted a game genie code that worked in zsnes to bypass the 50/60hz check (terranigma does check for that right?) A real game genie can only modify a small section of the ram or whatever, and the pal protection wasn't in that area. However I don't think zsnes checks to make sure the code modifies the right area. Though maybe a pro action replay could work. I'll try a few games that check and see if I can get past with my game genie (my game genie is busted, got it used, it seems to change the code you enter into something else, still I'll try :)
