When dumping my SNES carts, I want to be sure the file saved by the copier is the original, unaltered ROM data.
I seem to remember reading that some copiers (the Professor SF II? I have one of those) auto-patch games to remove some protection.
Does this auto-patching happen after a game is loaded from disk, or does it happen earlier, so making it impossible to save the original unpatched game data to disk?
I also have a Super Wild Card (original, non-DX version) which I guess does not automatically patch games. So I could go through dumping each cart twice, once through each copier to compare. But hopefully someone can say whether this is needed first.
