Make sure you format the disk in an older PC. I tried to format my disks using a new LS120 drive and got poor performance. I then tried the formatter from the unit and it too was bad. I then took out my old 486 (which has an old 3DO emulator board in it) and formatted the disk with that and then copied the game image to it and it worked great. Think old school...
