Will a PAL Super Nintendo run on an American TV and everything?

I've been interested in PAL Super Nintendos for a while now, but I just have one question.. Will it even work in America? Besides the 50/60Hz different, is there anything else that keeps the PAL Super Nintendo from being able to be played on US TV sets and plugs?
