Zipdrive with DX2 + diskdual

I read somewhere that only an old version of the 100Mb zipdrive works with the Wildcard DX2. Is this correct? What does this mean specifically?

And about the Diskdual: I have an old IDE 4X CDROM drive, will it work with the diskdual?
