The CD-ROM support in the Disk Dual is flaky, especially with fast drives. This is because fast CD-ROM drives take a few seconds to spin up, and the DX2 doesn't wait long enough. It works best if you use the "Eject/Load disk tray" option on the DX2 CD menu to open an close the CD drive, instead of using the button on the drive itself. This seems to give the drive time to spin up.Let me know if that helps.
> Hello,
> Im trying to use a CD-ROM drive in my Disk Dual. I don't think it's taking to the system because when i instert any type of CD, be it rom cd, or audio cd. It just gives me an error when i choose to look at the disc information and use the dx2's CD PLAYER. Are there only certain types of CD-ROM drives that the DD will support? Maybe only certain speeds? Im trying to run a 36x generic cd-rom. Thanks for any help you can bring me.
