Terranigma on SWC DX2

I am wondering if anyone else has had problems with Terranigma on a SWC DX2. I am using a US SNES with 50/60 switch mod. If I put the terranigma cart in the slot on top of my SWC and then select run from the cartridge menu, the game runs fine. If I backup the rom and then try to play the backup, it will run for awhile and then crash. If I load the backup on snes9x it works fine. I don't get it. My SWC works with many other games without problems, so what is the problem with terranigma?
