I posted both these a while ago, but were lost when half the messages disappeared (?).
I currently use a modified N64 SCART lead as an RGB SCART for two separate PAL SNES units on 5 different TV sets (from time to time). I just bought a N64 SCART lead (which is only a composite and sound into a SCART socket) and connected the R, G & B wires to the R, G & B lines of the SCART. I think that for one of the leads it was required that I connect one of the wires to the Blanking line as well in order to get RGB instead of composite.
Despite rumours to the contrary, my SNES units haven't caught fire yet (I've tried it on 4 different PAL SNES machines) & to be honest, I wouldn't be that worried if they did, since they only cost about ($15) to replace nowadays (unlike the US SNES, which can cost anything up to 0).
On the batch conversion of Genesis BIN files, I wrote a general purpose program called 'SPAWN' that would run any command prompt program with a wildcard.
If the progam only accepts 1 file you put 'SPAWN' before the program name & the *.bin after the switches and it should operate on all of the .bin files in that directory (provided that you have the programs pathed correctly etc.).
It should be fine for SMD conversion using UCON or whatever, but not much use for GameDoctor (GameStation etc.) conversion because you need to have different command switches for each file depending on the size & type of the file.
I can email anyone a copy if they want.
