> Hey Matthias...I think I remember you from a couple years ago on Cherryroms. You the same guy?

Yes... but haven't had anything to do with it for a very long time now.

> Anyways, yes, I'm using a DB-25--the same one for my GBx/V64Jr. Are you using SNESTool or GTool?

I'm using both... SNESTool for 32 MBit games and GTool for everything smaller than 32 MBit (I'm getting weird graphic errors when I try to send 32 MBit games with GTool... no idea why).

> Can you also explain how to send? I would let my PFQ+ boot to the menu, send, then nothing would happen. I reset the SNES, and I get a black screen--until I unhook the DB-25 cable from the PFQ+. Oh, yeah...come to think of it, SNESTool would freeze on sending--it wouldn't sent the game.

I'm doing it the exact same way, with the exception that neither my SNES nor SNESTool freezes and the games play fine afterwards.

> What's your LPT1 port mode set at (in your BIOS)? Maybe that has something to do with it...

It's set to EPP, like it is recommended for the GBX.

> Another question: I just finished my GoodSNES collection of roms, but want to convert all of them to ProFighter format. I saw your post above about using a for-loop to do bin->smd, do you know of a similar way to mass convert snes?

Unfortunately the "for-loop" didn't work... well, it should have, but I seem to have forgotten the correct syntax (hopefully someone else here remembers and tells us). There aren't any other utils out there which will take advantage of it anyways, since ucon can't convert ROMs >16 MBit (at least for me...) and inSNESt requires user input during the conversion process.
btw, about the Profighter conversion... I've found that only very few ROMs need to be converted to *.fig format, for example FFV, FFVI and Chrono Trigger. Most of the others work fine in other formats, too.
That's also the reason why I like GTool so much... it converts the header of the ROM you send "on-the-fly" during the send process, without physically changing the file on HD.
