The Diskdual plugs into the parallel port on the DX2. The DX2 has no IDE controller. I don't think it is possible to build your own Diskdual, since the Diskdual has intelligent hardware inside - not just a dumb box. You can download to the DX2 via the parallel port, but you have to have the DX2 beside your PC all the time.

The Diskdual works with an American SNES if you get the NTSC version.
