Gamestation: can I add more RAM and what is this 64pin connector used for?

I just got a Gamestation (the SNES/GDSF7/CD drive all-in-one unit).
Its a great unit and has had no problems whatsoever despite what some have said.

I was wondering if it is possible to add more RAM to this unit (it is basically a GDSF7, and the GDSF7 supports up to 128mb RAM? Plus what is
this 64pin connector on the back of the unit to the left of the Floppy Disk drive connector?
