The reason that DSP chip games don't work is that there wasn't just one DSP chip. I have a SWC DX2 with DSP cart, and I have gotten some DSP games to work (Mario Kart) but most games don't use the Mario Kart DSP, they use other DSP-like chips or FX chips. There were probably 20 variations of DSP and FX chips, and it seems the one that is available with copiers is the least used chip.
