Difference between PAL and NTSC SWC DX2 Questions

How would you tell (other than actually trying it on different SNES types) whether a SWC is PAL or NTSC version? Also is there anyway of changing between them ie. PAL SWC -> NTSC SWC and back again.

Also, does an NTSC SWC DX2 work on a modded (50/60 Hz and Lockout chip mods) PAL SNES ?
