I know what you're getting at, but it's been a little difficult to get much information out of SWP about his departure from the 'scene'. Considering the guy's only 16 years old, I'm amazed at the quality of this site and his dedication to his customers from ACS, since most companies would have simply folded pocketing all of the funds.

I think that FFE were having some manufacturing problems earlier in the year and a whole batch of DiskDuals had to be returned, checked and then subsequently repaired.

SWP only placed his orders when he had sufficient orders for equipment himself so that he could make a profit on the whole deal.

I can only speculate that he waited a while after my order before placing his final order with FFE, so that he could get as large a bulk discount as possible.

The main reason that I ordered from ACS in the first place was not for speed, but because communication with FFE is patchy at best because of the language difficulties. In addition to that it's more expensive for me to use a bank transfer than Western Union(I was unaware of the facility to order with credit card at this stage). I was also in no hurry for the unit, since I've already got a SWC2.88 32Mb and a DPF 24Mb to play my games on.
